Devrim Erdoğan

He was born in Amasya in 1980. In 1997, he was admitted to the Department of Cinema and Television at the Istanbul University Faculty of Communication. During his student years, he won awards at various festivals for the short films and documentaries he directed.

He graduated in 2001 and was accepted into the master's program in Cinema and Television at the same university. He served as the cinematographer for numerous feature-length documentaries produced for the German NDR and French ARTE television channels.

The 45-minute documentary film Schaetze Im Nassen Grab (Jewels in the Water), filmed in Bergama, for which he served as cinematographer, won the "Best Documentary - 2003" award at the 12th Prix Leonardo Film Festival in Parma. Devrim Erdoğan, who worked as a lecturer at the Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Art and Design until 2007, currently teaches at various universities and film workshops. Since 2004, he has been working as a director and cinematographer at Öteki Film Production.
